Underberg Appreciation Day @Purpose Brewing

We're celebrating Underberg in various forms at Purpose Brewing! Desserts of all varieties and Barrel Aged Underberg shots!

FREE EVENT, $30 ticket for Underberg themed food!

Do you love Underberg? Would you put Underberg in your food? Would you marry Underberg?

Unfortunately we are marrying Underberg so you can't (we will be wearing green for the wedding), but we do have some desserts with Underberg to share with you on this day of appreciating Underberg!

Each $30 ticket entitles you to:
1 Underberg Lemon Curd Bar
1 Underberg Marshmallow S'Mores
2 Nuance Underberg Truffles
1 Underberg Ice Cream Root Beer Float

You can come to this event without a ticket! The ticket provides you four unique desserts to eat for yourself or share amongst your friends.

We're also serving $5 Barrel Aged Underberg Shots! You heard that right: aged in a Root Shoot Bourbon Barrel at 1oz pours.

We'll be serving normal Underberg at $2 a bottle.

Bottles of BA Underberg will be purchasable! (Pricing TBD)

Food sessions start at 12pm and at 2pm. You can come at any time! Your food is only served within that two hours to prevent everyone coming en-masse for food. You will be given a punch card for all four desserts so you don't have to get them all at once.

Cut off for ordering is August 9th.

Ope, let me squeeze on past ya there and tell you all about the Midwest Olympics! If you're from the midwest you'll know all about Euchre, Casseroles, Hot Dishes, bubblers, pop and other such lore.

Let's get into events and prizes!

Euchre tournament - 40 people limit! We'll have house rules, but we expect your best trash talk and traditions. You ever been in the barn before? Hopefully you'll see the inside of one before the day is out! SIGNUP IS ATTACHED TO THE FACEBOOK EVENT!

Casserole/Hot Dish competition - Every Hot Dish is a casserole, but not all casseroles are Hot Dishes. We're lookin' for maximum nostalgia, a bit of strange flavor combinations, maybe a good deal of cheese or cream. You'll be judged by your peers with ranked choice voting. We just need your state, if it's vegetarian or vegan and what it's called when you come in! No need to sign up! Just bring your food! We have power for crock pots, etc.

For Euchre and the Casserole/Hot Dish event we'll have 1st, 2nd, and Last Place cash prizes: $75, $30, $10

And it's not a Midwest Celebration without some meat, ya know? For every beer you buy you get a free ticket for a meat giveaway!

Pressed Flower Bookmark!

Join us on July 6th to learn the art of pressing flowers while making some beautiful bookmarks and maybe even a few new friends.

In the class you will learn the basics of how to press flowers along with tips, tricks, and plans for how to build your own press. You will be guided through the process of designing your own sheet of pressed flowers, which will then be turned into six unique bookmarks that can be used as trading cards, gifts, or kept for your own reading adventures.

Please note that your final product will be available to be picked up at Purpose Brewing the following day.

Black Footed Ferret Visit!

Black Footed Ferret Visit!

Purpose is welcoming back the National Black-footed Ferret Conservation Center with a visit from a Black Footed Ferret! In 1987 there were 18 individual Black Footed Ferrets left in the United States. A program launched by the United States Fish and Wildlife Services has brought the population back up to 350 BFFs (Black Footed Ferrets) in the wild with a flourishing breeding program. Just a reminder that the folks at the conservation center are federal workers, which we love to support! There will be a donation button on the PoS to help support things like food, vaccinations and other medical treatment for the ferrets. Purpose will also release a BFF beer this week!
